Sebastian is my six-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.
On the morning following another snowstorm here in Philadelphia, I thought an episode from this past summer would warm things up a bit….
While I was out in California, my wife took the boys out to eat at our local restaurant. There, she asked the boys about their day at camp.
My wife: “So what did you do today Seba?”
Sebastian: “Went swimming, played soccer, um, had lunch, and then played outside. Can I go to the bathroom?”
My wife: “Of course.”
Moments later, he sat down, had a couple of bites of his dinner, and said:
“Oh, and I just remembered, I lost my underwear.”
My wife: “You lost your underwear? What are you wearing now?”
Seba: (As he took another bite) “Nothing.”
Going commando- nice. I think my youngest has finally given that up.

After this episode, my wife taught him the term “Commando.” That was a mis-step on her part….

Yeah, not sure how that came to be, but we have long stopped questioning and denying. We are now in acceptance mode.
