Monthly Wine Writing Challenge #15–The Results

The results are inAs the name suggests, this was our 15th Monthly Wine Writing Challenge (unlike the Wine Bloggers Conference which incorporates the last two digits of the year into the name, so you have no idea how many there have been) and I can safely state the obvious and say that no two have been the same. This go around, with the theme of “Success” supplied by last month’s winner Loie of Cheap Wine Curious, there were eleven entries (plus another article by Loie, which was submitted on time but was not eligible for the vote since she won last month).

The voting was a bit odd this go around as heading into the weekend, it was still very close with literally everyone having a chance to win. Then the landslide occurred. What started as a rather close race ended up as one of the more lopsided victories in the Challenge’s somewhat brief history.

So without any further ado…

And-the-Winner-IsJVB Uncorked: Finding Success in Wine

As the winner of this month’s challenge, Jim has the “honor” of choosing the topic for next month’s Challenge.

Congratulations to Jim, who just recently started contributing to the Challenge, but he has been a regular contributor for the past five months, and I imagine will continue to do so. Stay tuned for next month’s theme! WinnerMWWC

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
