Sundays Are For Sebastian #106

Sebastian is my six-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

The family took a brief “stay-cation” to Washington D.C. not too long ago and as we passed by the Capitol Building reflecting pool….

Seba: “Hey look! A pond!”

Me: “It is actually called a reflecting pool.”

Seba: “What is a reflection pool?”

Me: “It has a bit of a double meaning.”

Seba: “Huh?”

Me: “Well it means that when looking in it, you should reflect or think about things. What does it make you think about?”

Seba: “Pizza.”

Me: “Well, when you ‘reflect’ you are supposed to think about ‘bigger’ things.”

[Pause]

Seba: “OK. Dinner….”IMG_3536

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
