Monthly Wine Writing Challenge #18–The Results

The results are inIt is that time once again, time to announce the results of this month’s Monthly Wine Writing Challenge. In all this month, there were 15 entries for the theme “Crisis” which was supplied by last month’s winner, Aaron of Wayward Wine.

This month continued the upward trend in submissions and also had a very active voting period with the second most votes ever cast. Having said that, there was never really much doubt as to who the winner of the Challenge would be this month as she led from wire to wire and ended up with nearly 40% of all the votes and more than four times the votes of the second place finisher.

So without any further ado…

And-the-Winner-IsTraveling Wine Chick: #MWWC18: Crisis

As the winner of this month’s challenge, Elizabeth has the “honor” of choosing the topic for next month’s Challenge. She also gets to proudly sport the badge below on her site (if she so chooses).

Congratulations to Elizabeth, who is a first-time contributor to the Challenge, but hopefully this will not be the last! If you have not already, you should certainly go over to Traveling Wine Chick and check it out!

Stay tuned for the next theme!

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

  4. Absolutely well deserved Beth. I wonderfully written real life experience of how when one door closes another one opens. I give you so much credit for being strong enough to move past the crisis and see the positive.
