[As I mentioned yesterday, I am up in Corning, NY for the annual Wine Bloggers Conference, where the internet access is surprisingly woefully inadequate. Thus, this week, I decided to revisit one of my favorite editions of Sundays instead of trying to stay online long enough for a new post. This one comes from almost exactly two years ago when Sebastian, then age four, broke his arm in summer camp….]
A couple of months ago, I started a new weekly theme: Sundays Are For Sebastian. Sebastian is my four-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.
Sebastian had to go back to the hospital again Thursday. The break was not properly aligned in the cast so we needed to go back in to surgery. This was of course not great news, but the kid is still Sebastian:
The anesthesiologist placed the mask on his face (in order to put him under) and asked him to count to ten.
Sebastian nodded and then closed his eyes.
A moment later, he opened his eyes and said “Done!”
After the anesthesiologist stopped laughing, she tried again:
poor guy- I know that happened a couple of years ago, but that’s a lot for a little guy to go through.

He was a total trooper! Even when they had to reset it and put another cast on!

That’s a huge smile for a kid with a broken arm!

He has a huge smile 98% of the time. I’ve never seen a kid who is in such a good mood. All. The. Time.

I had to use my damn hotspot every freaking day the wifi was so bad. Good thing there was so much alcohol around.
