Sundays Are For Sebastian #120

Sebastian is my six-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

Monday was Sebastian’s second try at breaking his first board in Tae Kwon Do. The first immediately followed his brother’s successful attempt on Saturday, which did not go well (it ended in tears).

The following two days included at least a dozen requests to buy some boards of our own to practice on. There was also this exchange:

Sebastian: “Can I try to break Nathan’s board again?”

Me: “No, the pieces are too small.”

Sebastian: “Can’t we just tape it back together?”

At the next class, Sebastian was determined to try again. Here was the result:

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

Ok, now I want to try it myself too! Seems like a great exercise for inner thighs, lower back, thighs, ankles. Not so great for self-esteem considering I will fail repeatedly

    way to go, Sebastian!!!!!!

  4. Excellent job – and his board holders seemed antsy. He should get extra points for that!

Do the boards get thicker each level they go up? They do at our TKD 😉
