Sabering With Household Items: The Stapler Episode

Happy Friday Everybody!

Today, I have a new video for you: Sabering a bottle of sparkling wine with a household stapler. Not much else to say as the video speaks for itself.

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

5 minutes again? and again the glass was the only one which worked? This is somewhat surprising, as I would think that stapler should work. Well, I think I know why it failed. Next time, reach for the classic Swingline – I think it is heavy enough to work. May be you just gave me an idea…

I clicked, but didn’t watch the video because I’m just here to say whatever it is, it’s probably a bad idea 🙂

If someone told me this morning I was about to spend 5 minutes of my life today watching a man trying to open a bottle of wine with a stapler, I wouldn’t have believed it. Haha.

I could have done that faster w a golf club & saved 4 minutes of my life. You owe me champagne for this one! Plus if you’d used the stapler from ‘Office Space’ it might have worked! 😜

  5. It doesn’t matter to me if you are ever successful with Plan A (or Plan B or C for that matter), I just love these sabering videos for the subtitles alone! 😀

Have you seen my stapler? PS. You’re moving, so who cares about the neighbors.

Rock, paper, scissors? Hahahaha. I’ve seen the glass trick before. Bring your A game to Napa and Sonoma, dude. 😉

  8. 1) You have a proper sabre, why not just use it?
    2) I’m too impatient. I’d grab that cork.
    🙂
    Santé!

  9. Every time I watch one of these, I’m convinced it’s my favorite one. Admittedly, it’s a little more exciting when you’re successful 🙂
