Monthly Wine Writing Challenge #25–The Results

The results are inIt is that time once again, time to announce the results of this month’s Monthly Wine Writing Challenge. In all this month, there were 12 eligible entries for the theme “Travel” which was supplied by last month’s winner, Cheap Wine Curious.

It was certainly not the most entries received, but I honestly believe that they were rather high in quality. It was therefore a bit surprising that the resulting vote was the second lowest turnout we have had in the history of the Challenge. Perhaps it is just a reflection of the broader political arena and people shy away from the word “vote.”

Or people were just busy.

Regardless, without any further ado…

And-the-Winner-IsTraveling Wine Chick

Congratulations to Beth, another multiple winner of the Challenge! (Although since “Travel” is essentially her first name, she had to be the odds-on favorite this month.)

As winner of the Challenge, Beth is now responsible for choosing next month’s theme, which I am sure she will approach with the same determination and tenacity that she shows in her writing. Either that, or she will randomly select a word out of Beowulf.

So, one more time: Congratulations Beth!

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
