It is that time once again, time to announce the results of this month’s Monthly Wine Writing Challenge. I am writing this on Monday night while watching the Philadelphia Eagles battle the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football. I have to admit that I am not much of a professional football fan. I was born in Ohio and spent a good portion of my youth in Michigan. Even those with even a passing knowledge of the game know that the collective history of the Browns, Bengals, and Lions is far from inspiring.
So I am kind of an Eagles fan.
Kind of.
What does that have to do with announcing this week’s winner? Absolutely nothing. But the vote is still very close (only one vote separating the top three), so I have a bit of time to kill. I will likely wait until tomorrow morning to make the determination since the chances of me staying awake much longer are rather slim.
In all this month, there were 15 eligible entries for the theme “Bubbles” which was supplied by last month’s winner, Jim of JVB Uncorked.
All the entries were solid, including the numerous first-time entrants, and although the topic seemed fairly straightforward, it did produce a wide variety of posts.
Oops, second half is starting….
So, without any further ado…
Congratulations to Beth, who joins Jim of JVB Uncorked as three-time winners of the Challenge!
As winner of the Challenge, Beth is now responsible for choosing next month’s theme, which hopefully will be a tad bit more uplifting than the last time she selected the theme.
Or maybe not.
Regardless, one more time: Congratulations Beth!
Congratulations, Beth! Well deserved!
