Saturday Reminders—4/22/17

For the first time in what seems like a long time, I am back at home in Houston for the weekend. How am I rewarded? A double header Little League game. Yikes. At least the weather seems to be participating—the last two days got up into the 90’s but today is forecast for the mid-70s. Sounds like a solid four hours of fun….

Or not.

Regardless, here are a few reminders:

  • As some of you know, I like to ride my bike. Well, the BPMS150 is already next weekend!, I will be riding from Houston to Austin over the course of a weekend. The event raises money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the ride is a pretty big deal down here, apparently. Can you donate to support my ride? Please click on the graphic below. Every dollar counts!

  • The deadline for the latest Monthly Wine Writing Challenge (#MWWC32) is this Monday! Yikes! Where did all that time go? The official deadline is midnight on Monday, so that still gives you the weekend to finis (or in my case, start and finish) your entry. All of the pertinent information can be found HERE.

Have a Happy Saturday!

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
