I just got back from Paris last night, so of course I was up early today. I decided to edit another sabering video to share with you today. Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions as to future sabering implements or bottles of wine to use!
I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
very nice performance. Let me take a wild guess – this was an iPhone 5 or may be even 4? I think 6 or 7 would be more difficult because of the round edges? But may be I’m just jealous of your great sabering success lately 🙂
Yeah, it was an old 4 that we had lying around—I think you are right, the round edges on the 6 & 7 render them pretty useless in the sabering department.
Yes, agreed- in awe of Jeff’s sabering ability. I just pull the pesky cork out with my hand and drink the bubbly. Evidently sabering is like riding a motorcycle: it’s a whole lot more fun if you’re the one actually doing it. Whats next? I vote for a hammer, a serving spoon, and a sugar bowl!!

I think you are running out of household items Jeff, lol! Have you tried an ironic device such as a corkscrew/wine-opener? 😀

I know I have done it with a corkscrew before, but it does not seem as though I have published it—will need to find the video!

Thanks! It’s been a while since I’ve sabered. Maybe I need to get back at it–kinda like I’m doing with responding to comments?
