Sebastian is my nine-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

This installment comes from about a year and a half ago, when Sebastian was seven and we were contemplating our move to Houston….

I often quiz the kids on a variety of subjects throughout the day, a process that I find rather tedious, but the kids seem to love (yeah, one would think it was the other way around). The other day, we were doing state capitals.

Me: “What is the capital of Texas?”

Nathan: “Houston!”

Sebastian: “Hey! I knew that–I was going to say it.”

Nathan: “I was only kidding, the capital of Texas is Austin.”

Sebastian: “Oh, yeah, I knew that!”

A few moments later…

Nathan: “Hey Seba, what’s the capital of Texas?”

Sebastian: “Uh… Boston?”
