Plenty going on today here in the Drunken Cyclist homestead: I am going for my first real outdoor bike ride in a few weeks, the Tour de France starts, I am heading East to the Finger Lakes for a few days, and my older son has his first “date” tonight! His mother and I wondered why he had come back from Summer Camp so excited about the two weeks that he spent away from home–during the second week he met the person whom he will be taking to the movies tonight. I will not be here to receive the first hand account on how the “date” goes, but since his mother will be taking them to the theater and picking them up a few hours later, I am sure he will likely be the most uncomfortable of all the parties involved. More on that later, perhaps. For now, just one reminder:
- I am going to return to my former summer “job” as I will be leading a couple of bike trips in France again this summer. The two trips: The Brittany Coast (July 29-August 4) and Northern Burgundy (August 5-11). I have arranged for a 10% discount for any of my readers who might want to come along. The riding is not difficult and I firmly believe there is no better way to see France. Send me an email (jeff (at) thedrunkencyclist (dot) com) if you would like more details.

With sunsets like this, you should want to visit Burgundy, too.
Have a Safe Saturday!
