Saturday Reminders—10/27/18

I find myself in Houston for the first time in a long time this weekend, but that will change in a few scant hours when I take off for Prague and the Czech Republic. I will be there for a few days and then Budapest for a few more before boarding the AmaLea with AmaWaterways for a seven-day cruise on the Danube. Yeah. Rough life, I know.

I hope to head out for a bike ride before my Uber to the airport, and I should pack something, but before all of that, here are a couple of reminders for you:

  • This is the sixth year for the Secret Wino exchange. Similar to the “Secret Santa” concept where participants send a bottle of wine (or two) to another participant somewhere else in the country, while receiving wine from yet another. If you would like to participate, there is still time to enter. All the details are HERE.
  • I will be in San Francisco in January for the Zinfandel Experience (ZinEx), and the kind people at ZAP (Zinfandel Advocates and Producers) have put together a great package for my readers to join me. You can get all the details HERE.

Have a Safe Saturday!

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
