Happy 2020!

As was the case for many of you, I suppose, last night was both a lot of fun and a bit difficult to handle (particularly this morning). We had some good friends in from out of town and although we did not finish them all, we did manage to open 12 bottles of wine (including a magnum) last night and we stayed up well past 2:00.

That is not the “usual” case at all for me on New Year’s Eve–I consider it a success if I get within an hour or two of midnight, figuring the New Year had started at least somewhere on the globe.

I am not sure which is a better approach.

Regardless of how you might (or might not) celebrate the passing of another year on the calendar, I do wish you the very best in 2020 and I thank you for stopping by here from time to time. Cheers!

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
