Sundays Are For Sebastian #264

Sebastian is my eleven-year-old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

Having lived in a very old house in Philadelphia, we had a rather steadfast rule that food was only to be consumed in the kitchen and the dining room. We had no desire to encourage any potential “visitors” to spread throughout the house.

We carried that rule onto Houston since we figured it was fairly good practice. We also wanted the electronics in the game room to feel rather safe and free from spills, food-related debris, and stickiness.

Sebastian was filling up a water bottle and asked if he could take it upstairs.

My wife, wanting to make sure that it steered clear of said electronics inquired: “What are you going to do with it?”

Sebastian: “Drink it?”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
