Stolen Idea

Alright, so straight up, I stole this idea.  Another fellow Commonwealth dweller and wine blogger extraordinaire, Joe Roberts (aka 1winedude) has a weekly wine quiz.  It has been a very busy week (more on that later), so I am reverting to some trivia that I had written a few years ago.  Being the trivia fiend I am, I wish I had thought of the idea first.  But I didn’t.  I thought I would focus on my love first: Champagne (my motto: “If it doesn’t sparkle, it doesn’t matter”).  I thought a bit about the plagiarism side of this, but….  Oh well, here’s the quiz:

  1. With what town is Dom Pérignon associated?
    1. Bouzy
    2. Ay
    3. Vertus
    4. Hautvilliers

First correct response gets…

Nothing.

But you could look at an empty bottle of DP if you like!  Be sure to leave a comment here!

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

  2. We’re going to vote with Maria, above, and go with “D.” We’re not as savvy with French wines as we are (we hope) with California ones. Thought about cheating and typing the question into google. But decided to just copy someone else’s answer instead. If you can steal then . . . we figure we have a little latitude! We’ll stay tuned for the answer. Always fun to stop by your blog!
