Wine Quiz #8–Answer

There are a total of 17 villages in Champagne that are classified as Grand Cru.  However, one of the villages (Chouilly) is only classified as Grand Cru for chardonnay.  Thus, the correct answer is 16.  There is also a village that is only Grand Cru for pinot noir (Tours-sur-Marne). 

As for Premier Cru, there are currently 43 villages classified as such.
