I realized just the other day that it has been a while since I have done a Wine Quiz. Without getting too much into the inner workings of my mind, here is another Quiz. I decided to stay with champagne for at least another quiz (or two) because a) I love champagne and b) I can. So here you go. Eight quotes and seven quote-ees. Match them up. That means there is one extra quote in there (I’m very good at math). We will see who has been reading and who hasn’t. If you’re scoring at home (or even if you’re alone) [reference?], if you think the first quote was uttered by the second speaker, then you would type: 1-B. Not too difficult, I hope.
Who is attributed to the following quotes?
- “I’m only a beer teetotaler, not a champagne teetotaler.”
- “If Miller is the champagne of beers, this must be the beer of champagnes.”
- “Too much of anything is bad, but too much Champagne is just right.”
- “If it doesn’t sparkle, it doesn’t matter.”
- “There comes a time in every woman’s life when the only thing that helps is a glass of champagne.”
- “Three be the things I shall never attain: envy, content and sufficient champagne.”
- “My only regret in life is that I did not drink more Champagne.”
- “Pleasure without Champagne is purely artificial.”
- Bette Davis, American actress (1908 – 1989) in the film ‘Old Acquaintance’
- John Maynard Keynes, British economist (1883-1946)
- Dorothy Parker, American poet (1893 – 1967)
- George Bernard Shaw, Irish playwright (1856 – 1950)
- The Drunken Cyclist, Alcoholic Peddaler (A while ago – Any day now)
- Mark Twain, American humorist and novelist (1835 – 1910)
- Oscar Wilde, Irish writer and playwright (1854 – 1900)

Great quiz! I will have to pass, though, as I don’t know a single answer myself (yes, I know where to find them, but it beats the purpose :))
