Today (Sunday) is Sebastian’s Fifth Birthday Party (he actually turns five tomorrow, Monday). For the past several weeks he has been obsessed about all things concerning his turning five.
This last week, he was focused on his birthday present(s), and since he has been home with his broken arm, we have received many inquiries concerning the nature of the gift. On Thursday, he decided to take a more proactive stance.
Sebastian: “Mom, can we go to Target now and pick out my present?”
Tammy: “No, you can’t pick out your own present!”
Sebastian: “Why not?”
Tammy: “Well, for one thing, when you open it on your birthday, it will not be a surprise!”
Sebastian: “Well, my party is not until this weekend, I will forget about it by then.”
Tammy: “No you won’t.”
Sebastian: “Yes I will!”

That’s totally weird. I was just laughing at Sebastian, scrolled down and thought, what-the-? That comment was meant for my post. (although the “lots of good advice” could apply to Sebastian’s clever example of how to get what you want).

I figured that was what was going on. I was going to delete the comment, but the banter about it is rather entertaining!

Boy, tell me about it. My wife and I hold up our little finger at least three times a day (to indicate that we are wrapped around his ever so tightly).
