Sebastian is my six-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.
I was perusing my notes from the last few years, and here is another gem from when Sebastian was still four years old:
The other day, my wife made a casserole out of many of the Thanksgiving Day leftovers.
Sebastian: “What’s for dinner?”
My wife: “I’m calling it ‘Mommy Surprise.”
Sebastian took a bite.
Pause.
Pained look.
Sebastian: “No more surprises, OK mommy?”

He’s a straight shooter…it’s great! Nice photo of the boys too, must get their looks from your better half

Too cute! That’s a great Christmas photo! Now I’m wondering what you said to get them to smile so naturally…

Hating leftovers must be genetic, lol.

Nothing like the honest feedback of a four year old eh?

Brutally honest, that one despite us trying to beat it out of him!

Can’t fault him for being honest. Once, when I was about Sebastian’s age, I told Mom that “eating here was an adventure” . She never forgot it — nor let me. 🙂
