Sebastian is my six-year-old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.
My wife: “Sebastian will you please clear your plate?”
Sebastian: “No.”
My wife: “Excuse me?”
Seba: “I don’t have to.”
My wife: “Really? Why not?”
Seba: “Because I’m cute!”
And he’s got a point. LOL

Do I have to keep repeating myself and say this boy is brilliant?

I have a feeling he didn’t quite win with that argument though…

Well, my wife certainly stammered a bit….

This time, the logic doesn’t work. Would have floored the parents, though. Rather like the time my father was about to let off some expletive about a careless driver, and the exact words burst forth from my then four-year-old sister! I remember the incident, and how they laughed at the time. They trotted out that story for years. Much to her chagrin… 🙂

Ha! That has been the hardest thing with him–keeping a straight face and remembering that we need to be “parental”.

I would like to take credit, but that was all his mother!

Incredibly cute he is. No doubt about it. But yes, he should eat well too!! 🙂 I face similar similar situations with my little one (who happens to be a little older than Sebastian) but can’t give in. 🙂

The problem is that he knows exactly how cute he is. He also knows that he has us wrapped around his little finger.
