This is Philadelphia Wine Week and I will be hosting a Rhône variety wine dinner at Fare Restaurant in the Fairmount section of the city tonight. We are still finalizing the menu a bit, but the wines are set:
2013 Château Beauchêne Côtes du Rhône Blanc Grande Réserve (France)
2014 Enazo Garnacha Rose (Navarra, Spain)
2011 Château Beauchêne Côtes du Rhône Rouge “Premier Terroir” (France)
2009 Chono Syrah (Elqui Valley, Chile)
2011 Purple Star Syrah (Washington)
The idea is to explore the main grapes from the Rhône from various places and how well they pair with food, while learning about the specific wines and regions.
What: The second monthly wine focused five course dinner, with this month’s theme, Rhône Varieties, with wine education provided by the Drunken Cyclist.
Cost: $75 all inclusive (includes wine, gratuity, and tax).
Where: Fare Restaurant 2028 Fairmount Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19130, (267) 639-3063
When: Tuesday, March 24th, 7:00 Sharp
Reservations: Call Andrew (267) 639-3063 or drop me an email (jeff(at)thedrunkencyclist(dot)com)
So if you are in Philadelphia tonight and would like to come by for a great meal and interesting discussion, give the restaurant a call and I will see you there!

Sounds fab! I’m hoping to find a job up in Philly (I commute up there for grad school from western Maryland), and whenever that happens, I’ll be there with bells on! Keep me on your list for future events!
