It is that time once again, time to announce the results of this month’s Monthly Wine Writing Challenge. In all this month, there were ten entries for the theme “Epiphany” which was supplied by last month’s winner, John Torsion, The Wine Raconteur.
This month was a bit of a rebound from last month in terms of the number of entries and the voting was quite active. Throughout the week, there were four different posts that seemed to be jockeying for position and the result was really not clear until the final hour.
So without any further ado…
Wayward Wine: Unexpected Wine Epiphany
As the winner of this month’s challenge, Aaron has the “honor” of choosing the topic for next month’s Challenge.
Congratulations to Aaron, who is a regular contributor to the Challenge and really doing a nice job over on his site, Wayward Wine. If you have not already, you should certainly go over there and check it out!
Stay tuned for the next theme!
Congratulations to Aaron, well done!

Reblogged this on WAYWARD WINE and commented:
Thank you all who read my post (if you did not, well, thanks for voting anyway). Who knew democracy still worked? Now, as proclaimed prom king/queen, my blog-related reign of terror shall hold all to a gleaming higher standard…for a month…if I can figure out theme for the next Monthly Wine Writing Challenge #MWWC ….Thanks! Feel free to read the post again and again and again here: http://waywardwine.com/2015/05/30/unexpected-wine-epiphany-mwwc17/

Congrats, Aaron!
@Jeff
How close was the race? The poll on the #MWWC blog does not show the results. Would be nice if the results could be made available now that voting is over. Cheers!

The vote was quite close, but we openly discussed this a while ago, and the clear consensus was to keep the vote hidden. We could revisit it, but it was decidedly slanted in that direction last time.

Ok. Well if the issue gets revisited then I vote for making the vote public. It’s more transparent that way and transparency is a good thing.

Had I been able to post your piece on time, the outcome may have been different…. Sorry!
