Sebastian is my seven-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.
We were out visiting my in-laws and near the end of our stay, we decided that Nathan, our older son, should go over to his cousins’ house (about an hour away) and stay there for the remainder of our stay. I wondered how Sebastian felt about the separation with his brother.
Me: “Did you want to go with your brother?”
Sebastian: “Yes.”
Me: “Are you going to miss him?”
Seba: “Yeah.”
Me: “Do you want me to take you over there tomorrow?”
Seba: “Yes!”
Tammy: “Or would you rather stay here and have the donut that was left over from this morning?”
[Pause]
Seba: “I’ll take the donut.”
Smart boy, as usual…. I bet there was no hesitation in his decision! 😉

When it comes to deep fried American pastries, he will sell out his own mother….

Sebastian must’ve had a recent birthday as I notice he’s now seven.

He turned seven at the end of August (https://thedrunkencyclist.com/2015/08/23/sundays-are-for-sebastian-115/) but I neglected to change the intro until these week.

I’d choose the doughnut too 😉

Yeah. We urged him to stay six, but he refused….

I’d choose a donut over my sibling as well. I understand this kid.

He’ll see his brother soon enough but that donut won’t last forever. A future foodie, to be sure.

I would not be surprised at all if that was the reasoning behind it!
