I am actually writing this early on Friday afternoon not because I am hyper-organized and just Getting Things Done, but, rather, I know I will have no time to do this tomorrow morning. By the time you are reading this, I will be elbows deep into judging wines for next year’s Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s International Wine Competition. Today, apparently, we will be swirling through close to 150 wines. Then another 50 or so on Sunday. I am looking forward to it, but a little worried that my palate will give out at some point, but hey, we all have our crosses to bare. Hopefully yours is not as arduous this fine Saturday morning.
I do have a couple of reminders for you this morning:
- By now, all of you who wanted to participate in the yearly wine exchange that we like total Secret Wino should have received your assignments. If you haven’t, or if you would still like to participate, please send me an email as soon as possible (jeff (at) thedrunkencyclist (dot) com).

From Etsy
- Our latest Monthly Wine Writing Challenge (#MWWC29) is up and running! The theme was chosen by last month’s winner, John of Pairs With: Life, and while it is technically not a word, it will hopefully inspire you to string a few words together in some coherent fashion and enter this month’s contest. Said theme is “Winestory” and all of the details for entering can be found HERE.

Off to be judgmental! Have a Happy Saturday!

I resent my October 24 email regarding the wine exchange. 😉
