Sundays Are For Sebastian #173

Sebastian is my eight-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

Nathan, after correctly guessing a rather difficult question and pressed to explain how he knew the correct answer, professed that he was psychic.

Me: “No, You’re psychotic.”

Sebastian burst out laughing.

Me, turning to my younger child: “Do you know what ‘psychotic’ means?”

Seba: “Nope.”

Me: “Then why are you laughing?”

Seba:”Just kidding! ‘Psychotic’ means, um …, well ….’Psychotic’ means ‘psychotic.'”

I glance at him letting him know that his tautological response was not an answer. He looks right at me and replies: “Sorry, that’s all I’ve got. ”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
