Saturday Reminders—11/3/18

I write this at my hotel desk in downtown Budapest, overlooking a bustling pedestrian street as tourists and locals scurry to their next destination. I am determined to get a bit of work done before my week-long cruise up the Danube starts tomorrow afternoon. It is quickly approaching noon, though, and the lure of yet another goulash or paprikas will soon be calling my name, but before I go, here are a couple reminders:

The AmaLea.

  • This is the sixth year for the Secret Wino exchange. Similar to the “Secret Santa” concept where participants send a bottle of wine (or two) to another participant somewhere else in the country, while receiving wine from yet another. If you would like to participate, there is still time to enter. All the details are HEREThe notifications will go out Monday morning, so if you want to partake, you need to let me know no later than Sunday at midnight!Photo Credit: homewetbar.com
  • I will be in San Francisco in January for the Zinfandel Experience (ZinEx), and the kind people at ZAP (Zinfandel Advocates and Producers) have put together a great package for my readers to join me. You can get all the details HERE.

Have a Safe Saturday!

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
