Sundays Are For Sebastian #360

Sebastian is our fourteen-year-old son and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

We were packed into my tiny car, headed to Fort Worth for yet another basketball tournament and Nathan Googled some general trivia questions.

Nathan: “What is the hottest planet in the solar system?”

Sebastian: “The sun.”

Nathan: “I said planet.”

Seba: “You did? Well then, Jupiter!”

Nathan: “Jupiter?? Are you serious? It is even further away from the sun than Earth. A lot further.”

Seba: “So? It has that big red spot thing.”

Nathan: “That is a storm, it has nothing to do with heat.”

Seba: “How do you know, huh? Ever been there? Thought so. I win.”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
