Sebastian is our fourteen-year-old son and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people. 

I imagine since I have been quizzing them on random trivia since they were able to talk, the boys have adopted the same practice of asking each other questions during idle moments, with their favorite topic being the National Basketball Association (NBA). I overheard the following on one such occasion:

Nathan: “Who was known as ‘Agent Zero’?”

[The answer is ‘Gilbert Arenas’ who played in the early 2000s and wore the number ‘0’.]

Sebastian: “Yao Ming!”

Nathan: “What? No.“

[Yao Ming is one of the most famous athletes in China, who, coincidentally, played in the NBA at the same time as Gilbert Arenas.] 

Seba: “Jeremy Lin!”

[Jeremy Lin is a Tawainese-American basketball player who had one incredible year in the NBA with the New York Knicks, which many labeled ‘Linsanity’.]

Nathan: “What? Are you insane?”

[This was followed by a considerable pause.]

Nathan: “You moron! I said ‘Agent Zero’ not ‘Asian Hero‘!.”

…and this.
