Sundays Are For Sebastian #385

Sebastian is our fifteen-year-old son and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

Sebastian has been playing basketball forever and is now on a traveling AAU team, of sorts…

Me: “What is the diameter of a basketball hoop?”

Sebastian: “62.”

Me: “62? 62 what?”

Seba: “Just 62.”

Me: “You’re kidding. 62 what?”

Seba: “Just 62, that’s it.”

Me: “You’re joking, right?”

Seba: “No.”

Me: “That’s a little over five feet.”

Seba: “Oh…”

Me: “62 what then?”

Seba: “Your mom.”

Me: “OK, we’re done here.”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
