A Couple of Tasting Announcements

Just a couple of quick announcements on what looks like will be a beautiful day here in Houston:

First, I will be leading a tasting of four of my favorite wines at the annual fund-raiser for the Uptown Dance Centre’s scholarship fund on May 3rd. This is the 25th Anniversary of Uptown Dance and it will be the fourth year that I will be involved with the event. The last three years have been a ton of fun and this year I will be pouring some of my favorite wines and telling the stories as to how they became special. For more information, click on the graphic below:

Second, on the following weekend, I will be hosting the Seventh Annual World’s Largest Blind Tasting of American True Rosé for other members of the Houston wine community. As of this morning, I have a few dozen rosés in hand and I am expecting several more. If you are interested in submitting a rosé or attending the tasting (we have space for one or two more) please send me an email (jeff (at) thedrunkencyclist (dot) com). Here is the photo of the wines we tasted last year:

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
