Sebastian is my eleven-year-old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.
The boys were going after each other with trivia. Nathan, five and a half years older, was taking his brother to the woodshed until Sebastian came across a vein of knowledge that his brother had never touched.
Sebastian: “Name one of the first two emperors of the Han dynasty.”
Nathan: “Do you know?”
Seba: “Of course!”
Nathan: “OK. You win, I don’t know.”
Sebastian: “Ha!”
Nathan: “Well, who were they?”
Seba: “One was ‘San’ something.”
Nathan: “That’s it? That’s all you got? Who was the other one?”
Seba: “I have no idea.”
