Sebastian is our fifteen-year-old son and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.
The last time Nathan was home, the boys, as they often do, engaged in some NBA trivia…
Nathan: “Who was known as ‘Agent Zero’?”
Seba: “Yao Ming!” [widely considered the greatest Chinese basketball player of all-time]
Nathan: “What? You can’t be serious.”
Seba: “Jeremy Lin!” [an Asian-American basketball player who took the league by storm several years ago, often referred to as “Lin-sanity”]
Nathan: “Huh?”
Long pause…
Nathan: “You moron, I said Agent Zero, not Asian Zero.”
[The correct answer for those playing at home was Gilbert Arenas, who wore #0 for the Washington Wizards.]
