Sip and Spin 12/14/2012 @ 7:00 p.m.

I have mentioned here a few times that I teach a Spinning class followed by a wine tasting every month from November through usually April (the owner of the gym thinks that people stop drinking during the warmer months for some odd reason).  Anyway, the next such event is on Friday night, December 14th at 7:00 p.m.  The wine theme is “Sparkling Wines” just in time for the holidays.

If you have never taken a Spinning class, now is the time! I have been teaching Spinning for longer than I would like to admit, so you will be in good hands (as long as you believe it, that is all that matters). There are 16 bikes and they fill up fast.  The fee is $10, but if you are in Philly and want to come, just let me know and I will see if I can get the fee waived (no promises on that since the owner really loves to hang on to his nickles, but I will try!).

The Gym (LifeSport Fitness) is directly across from the Eastern State Penitentiary in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia.  The Spinning class lasts 45 minutes and then we saunter into the daycare room to get loaded for the tasting. If you think you might want to attend, click on the ‘Samples Policy’ in the tool bar to get my email and I will set it all up.
Hope to see you there!

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

  1. 2 of my favourite pastimes – Spinning and drinking wine! I so wish I lived in Philadelphia! 🙂

The one spinning experience I had was miserable. Had there been wine involved, I bet I would have gone back!
