March Madness–Last Bottle Style

For those of you that might not know, one of my favorite flash sites, Last Bottle, is currently having a sale/blowout/extravaganza kind of thing.  They have great customer service and free shipping (usually with a minimal order, but today, everything ships free!).

So go check it out and scoop up some good deals!

Use this link:

LAST BOTTLE

I am not receiving any promotional incentives from them, but if you use the above link and buy something, they will give me $20 credit towards my next purchase.

Cheers!

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

    • I got it! Thanks! Picked up some of the Carbonnieux. What did you get?

      • Stuff here and there, mostly on the cheaper end: Castellroig Negre Ull de Llebre 2007, Argyle Pinot Noir 2011, Coume del mas Quadratur Collioure 2005, Janasse VDP Terre de Bussiere 2007, Marquis Phillips Gramercy Tavern Riesling 2008.

Most excited about Capaia Philadelphia 2006 from South Africa. 🙂

The threshold to free shipping is usually too high for my taste on their website, so I held back until this event. And it was totally worth it. Thanks again for making me aware of it!

      • Sounds good! Let me know what you think of the Argyle. Not a blockbuster, but a solid everyday Pinot. If you like it, I will hook you up with “my guy” who can get it to you at about $12-13/bottle (by the case).

Please excuse my old brain, but I only see the opportunity to purchase 1 item on last bottle. I don’t get it.

  4. Jeff,
I had subscribed to Last Bottle for months, but only seemed to find wines that are really big, ripe, modern monsters. Have you found more balanced wines? Am I missing something?

    • I never really noticed, but I would guess that I am interested in about 10-20% of their offers. I have picked up some good Pinot, some Champagne, and various other European stuff (Sancerre, German Riesling, and some nice Spanish red). Certainly more miss than hit, but they have good customer service and seem to be nice people so that goes a long way with me.
