Foodista Drink Blog of the Day!

As I was having lunch, fantasizing about being in Europe so that I could have a nice glass of rosé with my lunch (leftover Chicken with Mushrooms and Crème Fraiche), I received an email that I had been selected as “Foodista’s Featured Drink Blog of the Day“. I am not entirely sure what that means, but I am rather certain that there is no cash coming my way (not that I am all that into money, but I do need to support my insatiable appetite to buy and drink wine).

I have not spent a bunch of time over at Foodista, but I will go and check them out, I guess. You should as well (even though there is no cash in it for either of us). So I am not really sure what it all means, but as I tell my kids:

“Hey, it’s better than a sharp stick in the eye….”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

Congratulations on being selected by Foodista, Jeff!
My own experience over at Clicks & Corks has been positive: Foodista is a pretty big community and, while you certainly will not derive money out of this, you will have increased traffic to your blog, which is something valuable nonetheless.

We met at the soiree the other night. I am enjoying your blog very much. I will point out that you are missing Matyson from your BYOB list. Are you not a fan?
