Last Bottle Marathon

I am sitting here waiting for my son Sebastian’s holiday show to start at school, which means I am about to be tortured. I am sitting in a chair meant for a second grader and this show will last close to two hours.

And I am 6’4.

Fun times.

The only thing that is keeping me going right now is knowing that there is a Last Bottle Marathon that will be starting in a few hours.

For those of you that do not know about Last Bottle, they are one of my favorite flash sites: they offer a single bottle of wine for sale at a time, until they are gone (notice I did not say “Til Sold Out”).

Today, starting at noon on the East Coast, they are having a marathon session of over 500 different wines and over a 50,000 total bottles, and they have promised a Star Wars theme (are you going to see the movie this weekend?).

If you have not purchased from Last Bottle before, now is the time since today all orders will receive free shipping (usually there is a 4-6 bottle minimum for free shipping).

They are located in Napa, so there are privy to some great deals from California, but have wines from around the world.

As an added bonus, if you use any of the links in this post, you get five dollars off your first purchase and I get a $20 credit!

(Yeah, it seems like you get the short end of that stick, but you will also gain my gratitude. So you will have that going for you.)

While you are at it, sending kindness my way, pray for my knees–they may not last this performance.

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

  2. I like them much much more than that other one you hinted at. Since I’m in the holiday spirit, I’ll use your link.

    • I do not mind WTSO at all. In fact, they are right up there with LB for me. They are right across the bridge in NJ, so I get the wine the next day. There are a few things about them that I would change, but they are not asking me….

  3. Thanks for the heads-up. I’ve stalked LB for awhile, but never made a purchase. I’ve used WTSO, and have been pleased, but as I’m on the left coast, it takes a week or more to get my wine. I’ll keep an eye on the LBM as best I can while I’m working! (Shhh. Don’t tell my boss.)

    • LB does not go through as many wines as WTSO, but I have been pleased with their offerings. You will also get the wine a lot sooner being out there (I live about a half an hour from WTSO, so I usually get the wine the next day, which is really nice!).

  4. So happy that Suzanne alerted us to your blog! I’ve used WTSO a lot and will definitely be checking out Last Bottle. Hope you lived through the program. Ranks right up there with dance recitals!
