Saturday Reminders–2/27/16

I am halfway through a particularly busy week, and I only have a minute before I need to rush off to a basketball game.

Yesterday, I was up in New York for a great tasting run by the Vins de Provence, and then I hustled back down I-95 to conduct my own tasting after my Spinning class.

Today is the last day of basketball for the season as Sebastian has an all-star game and Nathan’s team has advanced to the Championship. Unfortunately, Nathan will not be there (he has a school commitment), but I still need to coach the team. After the championship, I have to stick around to coach another all-star game and then a skills competition. Ugh.

Then back home to pick up a friend and winemaker who is in town to conduct a wine tasting that I am organizing.

Tomorrow it is back up to New York for an Oscars party and then a tasting on Monday.

Oh and the first round of movers come this week!

Nonetheless here are some reminders:

  1. The deadline for this month’s Monthly Wine Writing Challenge is just a few days away, the new theme is, well, “NEW”  so if you have not entered yet, well, it is time to get cracking! All the details can be found HERE (the deadline is March 7th).new_icon
  2. Tonight is Open That Bottle Night! I wrote about it HERE, but briefly, it is the night to open that bottle that you have been saving for the “right” occasion. Well, tonight is that occasion!OTBN

Have a great Saturday folks!

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
