Sundays Are For Sebastian #142

Sebastian is my seven-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

As part of getting ready for the move, both of the boys have to take standardized tests as part of the application process to schools.

My wife, not surprisingly, has become a bit of a, dare I say “Tiger Mom” and has required that the boys prepare by regularly taking practice tests which have cost us a small fortune.

Sebastian has surprisingly taken to these practice sessions, and attacks them with vigor.

The other day, he was taking one of the online tests when he said exasperated:

“What is THIS?”

Me: “What?”

Seba: “It’s a line with a dot above it and another dot below it. What is THAT?!?”

Me: “That means ‘divided by’.”

Seba: “Oh! OK!”

He went back to the computer screen, and started typing away.

A few moments later….

Seba: “What the HECK does ‘drived by’ mean?”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

That aside, 🙂 , I hope your boys did well on their exams. I mean, they got their hair done special and all.
