Last week, I found out that I was a finalist for a Wine Blog Award Best Blogpost of the Year for my post “Ohmygod 39–Into the Widow’s Cellar.” The public portion of the voting is now open, and you can vote HERE if you are so inclined.
Sebastian is my seven-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.
I am currently in the South of France for the week without my family. This causes me to pay even more attention to the little Frenchies walking around as they all remind me of my boys back in Philadelphia. Thus, this week I thought I would revisit a few Sundays Are For Sebastian that had a decided French theme to them….
Sundays Are For Sebastian #42 (January 26, 2014)
My wife: “What do you want for breakfast?”
Sebastian: “Potato Chips!”
My wife (in French): “Impossible.”
Sebastian: “That means not possible….”
My wife: “Right.”
Sebastian: “Well, it COULD be possible if you said yes….”
Sundays Are For Sebastian #65 (July 6, 2014)
Sebastian has been in a French immersion school for three years now (he just finished Kindergarten). The other day he said to his mother (who has picked up quite a bit of the language as the result of having our two boys go there):
“Mommy, I am going to teach you French!”
Tammy: “That’s great! Why?”
Seba: “‘Cause your French stinks.”

I’m not trying to put Wine Blogging on the back burner but when I saw the picture if that’s Sebastian he is getting so big… how he is growing! I promise to read the blog…. 😀

He is getting big, but his maturity at this point is mostly physical at this point. He is still the wonderfully goofy kid that he has always been!

Oh, that’s too bad. Just recently a man was walking out of Sam’s Club took a look at my grandson and exclaimed “Good afternoon Mr President! If you do run I’ll vote for you. We need some better choices.” Of course at 6 years old he got a big kick out of it.

Google translate did a horrible job of translating that. What’s it mean in English?

Well, potato chips are made from potatoes, which grow in the ground and are therefore healthier than many foods. I certainly think they would make a fine breakfast. Or dinner. Though I am not sure what wine one would pair with them…
Also, I voted! So easy!
