2017 Oregon Wine A-List Awards

I recently received an email from a friend at the Oregon Wine Board asking me to pass along the following information (and since she is one of the nicest people I have met in the wine world, I am happily obliging):

Nominations for the 2017 Oregon Wine A-List Awards, which recognize restaurants across the world displaying enthusiasm for Oregon wine and a deep appreciation of the diverse regions, varieties and producers of Oregon, are now open.

A-List-Social

The nomination period is open to the public and the Oregon Wine Board is looking to grow this program nationally. So all of you out there need to let the Board know which restaurants offer the best selection of Oregon wine! Nominations for the 2017 Awards close on Nov. 1, with winners announced in January.

So start paying attention when you are out to dinner and perusing the wine list. If you find a restaurant with a host of Oregon wine on the menu, nominate them! (And if the wine list is woefully lacking in Oregon wine, ask them why!)

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

  1. Thanks for the shout out to the great state of Oregon! There are some restaurants here that confuzzle me why most of their wine list is either California or Oregon….
