I am here in the Sonoma County Airport, waiting for a flight that has now been delayed for at least an hour. The problem is I need to make a connection at LAX for Houston and the original connection time was an hour. I kinda sorta have to get home tonight as I leave for Santiago, Chile tomorrow afternoon. Missing my LAX connection is really not an option.
The upside is I am able to get a bit of work done, but unfortunately, I feel about as confident in the airport’s internet as Charlie Brown does when he sees Lucy holding the ball for an attempted field goal (the airport is called the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport).
Thus, I have no idea if this will work, but I figured leaving a couple of reminders was better than stressing about my flight:
- The latest #ConoSurWineTalk is this Wednesday at 20h30 GMT which means that it will be at 2:30 EDT (the U.S. goes to Daylight’s Saving Time tonight!). I hope to join the chat from Santiago, Chile this go around, but I might be in a plane crossing the Andes at that point). Regardless, grab a cool climate white wine and join the conversation with Cono Sur’s winemaker, Guillermo Sanchez!
- It is time to vote for the latest Monthly Wine Writing Challenge (#MWWC31)! Voting will remain open through Monday night and I hope to announce the winner on Tuesday, if I am able to find an internet connection in Chile. Click HERE to see all the entries and find the link to vote.

Have a Happy Saturday!

Dang, I hope you don’t miss your flight to Chile!

Geez! I would have missed the chat! Thank you! I had in my calendar for 3:30! Did you make your flight? Being bicoastal, I have now gone to only picking flights that are over 2 hrs layover.
