Sundays Are For Sebastian Revisited (#146)

I am on the road today, sitting in the Miami airport at an ungodly hour, waiting for my flight back to Houston. As such, I have pulled one of my favorite Sundays Are For Sebastian for your Sunday pleasure.

Sebastian is my seven-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

My wife was helping Sebastian with his science project. After a bit of time working with him, she became frustrated from the resistance Sebastian was exhibiting.

My wife: “You need to do more work here, you are not close do being done.”

Sebastian: “Why? That’s all the teacher said I needed to do!”

My wife: “You need to go beyond just the minimum that you need to do. You need to make it special.”

Seba: “Why?!?”

Starting to cry….

“I always do the minimum….”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
