Saturday Reminders—4/8/17

Sebastian and I are heading off to California this morning, to his maternal grandparents’ home in what I call the “Extreme East Bay.” As I have mentioned before, they will actually be moving to Houston this Fall, but Sebastian is on Spring Break and wanted to head out one more time before they move. I decided to set up a few appointments while I am out there so it works for both of us.

Before I head off into the joys that will be my Saturday full of air travel, I thought I would leave you with a few reminders:

  • The latest #ConoSurWineTalk is a week from Wednesday (April 12) at 17h00 GMT. I will be joining from somewhere in Sonoma County! You should join in too, as we will be chatting about aromatic whites.
  • As some of you know, I like to ride my bike. Well, in just a few weeks I will be partaking in the BPMS150 here in Houston, riding from the Bayou City to Austin over the course of a weekend. The event raises money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the ride is a pretty big deal down here, apparently. If you would like to donate (and you should—I am woefully behind in my donations—if all of you simply donated just one dollar…) to support my ride, click on the graphic below.

  • The latest Monthly Wine Writing Challenge (#MWWC32) is already underway, and while there is still a bit of time before the deadline, it is never to early to start writing!  All of the pertinent information can be found HERE.

Have a Happy Saturday!

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
