Ugh. It’s raining. While I understand the need for it, I don’t appreciate it on Saturday morning, the only time during the week that I can go for a longish ride without feeling too terribly guilty. Rain should be reserved for Mondays. And maybe Thursdays, which is essentially a weekend tease.

As I try to will the rain away, here are a few reminders:

• The details still need to be worked out, but…. Next Saturday is the start of the Tour de France and this year I am teaming up with Como Sur Bicileta, an official sponsor of the Tour to run a contest for the three-week event. I hope to announce the details on Wednesday (or before), but I wanted to give you all a “heads-up.”
  
• I will be announcing the next Monthly Wine Writing Challenge (#MWWC34) this Tuesday, for now, the theme has to remain a mystery, but I am going to reach out to some past winners to try to convince them to enter again!
• Even though the ride to Austin is over, you can still contribute! I originally had hoped to raise $500, but as of this morning, I am hovering just under $1000. If all of you give just a few bucks, it will push me into the four digits! Every dollar counts!
