I am actually writing this on Friday night, which is a rare occurrence: usually I wait until Saturday morning, when I am usually rushed and therefore far from eloquent. So this week, I decided to do this the night before when I have much more time.
Sadly, I am my level of eloquence is not equally elevated.
By the time you are reading this, however, I should be well into a 40-60 mile ride, or I could be lounging on the couch, and even maybe by the pool. The possibilities are endless.
Nonetheless, here are a few reminders:
- The Tour de France wraps up this weekend but it appears (like Chris Froome) that I may have sewn up our little Fantasy Tour competition. I was the only one of the group to have chosen Marcel Kittel and although he has retired early from the race, it was a great choice. Perhaps the best choice I made, though, was the Norwegian Edvald Boasson-Hagen who not only has an extremely fun name to pronounce (go ahead, say it out loud and you will agree), but he has had an outstanding Tour, culminating in a stage win today. There is still time to enter, however! Simply tweet the name of the daily stage winner to @ConoSurWines and @masi3v (yours truly) with the hashtag #TourDeBicicleta and you could win fabulous prizes! (Details HERE.)
- This is also the last weekend to enter the latest Monthly Wine Writing Challenge (#MWWC34), as the deadline is this Monday, so you need to start writing! All the details can be found HERE.
- One more last (almost): the ride to Austin is over, but you can still contribute to the MS150! The deadline is July 31st, so if you have been meaning to donate to my ride, click on the graphic below. Every dollar counts!
Have a Happy Saturday!
