Sundays Are For Sebastian Revisited (#109)

I am once again on the road this week, this time at the 157th Hospices de Beaune in Burgundy, France. As I usually do while I am on the road, I re-blog a Sundays for Sebastian. Today’s comes from a couple of years ago, when Sebastian was six….

Sebastian is my six-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

After a long school day and then an evening baseball game, we were home scrambling to get the boys into the shower and then fed so they could get to bed for school the following day. Sebastian was goofing around in the shower, so I screamed up to him that we were going to start dinner without him.

He quickly emerged from the shower as a result, and soon, I heard him on the stairs, hurrying to get to the table. I happened to look up as he was on about the fourth step. He must have seen the look on my face, for he stopped immediately and said:

“Oops, I forgot to get dressed.”

He was buck naked.

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
