Well, the big day is here. In just a few hours, I will begin popping corks, pouring pink, swirling glass after glass, sniffing, slurping, and spitting. Today is the “World’s Largest Blind Tasting of American True Rosé” (or something like that) right here in our modest Houston home. A couple other wine writers in the area will be joining in as we hope to identify the top rosés made in this country. I have amassed 68 wines to taste today, so it might take a while. Before I get started, I have a reminder for you:
- I am going to return to my former summer “job” as I will be leading a couple of bike trips in France again this summer. The two trips: The Brittany Coast (July 29-August 4) and Northern Burgundy (August 5-11). I have arranged for a 10% discount for any of my readers who might want to come along. The riding is not difficult and I firmly believe there is no better way to see France. Send me an email (jeff (at) thedrunkencyclist (dot) com) if you would like more details.

This year’s lineup as of two weeks ago…

…then it grew to this….

…and it got crazy once I added the previous vintages.
Have a Safe Saturday!
Have fun and I may take you up on the trip one day. Beginning level here )
