I am once again on the road this week, this time back to Italy for a week of Sicily, the Veneto, and Puglia. As I usually do when I am on the road, I revisit a previous version of Sundays Are For Sebastian. Recently, I have been reviewing some of the earliest posts (which were started over five [!] years ago) as I consider them some of the funniest. They might all be revisited soon as Sebastian, who is quickly approaching his teenage years, is producing fewer quips these days.
Today’s comes from July, 2016, when Sebastian was seven years old….
Sebastian is my seven-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.
I was scrolling through the menu on the television when Sebastian interrupted….
Seba: “Oh look, Biking! Don’t you want to watch that?”
Me: “I didn’t see any ‘Biking’ what channel was it on?”
Seba: “I am not sure, go back up.”
I did what I was told.
Seba: “There! There it is!”
Me: “Where?”
Seba: “Right there: ‘Bike Eenie'”
Me: “Huh?”
As I looked closer, I noticed that on HBO Latino was a show called “Bikini.”
Me: “Um, that’s not about bikes.”
Seba: “So what is it about?”
Me: “Someday you will know….”
